Doctor of Fine Arts (interdisciplinary doctorate in performing arts, music, and visual arts from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań). Polish intermedia artist, performer, and educator.
She holds a Master of Arts from the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and a postgraduate diploma with distinction from the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden, where she studied Eurhythmics, Choreography, and Music Pedagogy. She also completed postgraduate studies in Cultural Management.
Her practice spans performance, movement, improvised music, video, and sound-based installation. She explores presence, perception, and the dynamic tension between image, sound, and movement. Górczyńska creates both solo and collaborative performances, often in site-specific contexts.
Her works have been presented in Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, and Latvia. She is a long-time collaborator of Institut Rhythmik Hellerau e.V. in Dresden.
Katarzyna leads international workshops for artists—both adults and children—focused on embodied performance and interdisciplinary practice, combining movement, voice, piano/improvised music, video, and spatial awareness.
